ONCE A MONTH, Amba Yoga will host an exciting Friday night Partner Yoga class, led by the upbeat, energetic and lovely Regina McGowan. PARTNER YOGA – sometimes also referred to as Contact Yoga -- is a fun, stimulating, sometimes challenging way to enhance both your yoga practice and your relationship. Not only do you get the all the benefits of yoga – from flexibility, strength, balance, and a unique blend of calm and aliveness – you also get to work on trust, support, and shared energy between you and your partner. In Partner Yoga, with the help and support provided, you’ll also be able to engage and accomplish some poses you might not be able to do on your own. SO COME JOIN US to deepen your yoga practice, deepen your relationship (starting with yourself), and have fun through physical contact, close interaction, and mutual support. WHO CAN JOIN IN? Married couples, best friends, significant others, friends with benefits, family members, neighbors who actually like each other, straight people, gay people and those in between, co-workers, yoga buddies, or any partner you adore or simply feel comfortable with. AND…SINGLE PEOPLE ARE WELCOME TOO! Feel free to come solo and we’ll happily partner you up with other single people there. That can surely be a fun and rewarding experience as well.
Space is limited to 15, sign up in advance.

ASANA PRACTICE….
We may have practiced yoga for years, or just started. Either way, the poses have been a way to explore different aspects of ourselves and our bodies, and reclaim our physical and mental strength. As Jeff leads us through one of his delightfully attentive sequences, we will learn how to deepen our experience of the subtle body, tapping into places perhaps not yet explored. Take the journey with your Amba Fellows -- and also learn some of the legendary tales found in the ancient yogic texts.
Jeff Logan is the founder and co-owner of Body and Soul Center in Huntington, NY.
He began his practice of yoga in 1982, and is currently on the Board of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York and an Officer of the Long Island Yoga Association. Teaching for more than 15 years in the area, he is sincere and authentic in his practice and with his students. Last year he was featured in an article in Runner’s World magazine, most recently featured in Newsday. He is a master at asana, but just as important, Jeff infuses his classes with great caring, humor, and humanity.
